Urinary Bladder Cancer

Bladder cancer occurs when abnormal tissue, known as a tumor, develops within the bladder lining and, in some cases, extends into the bladder muscle. This condition can vary in severity, requiring timely diagnosis and treatment to manage its progression and prevent further complications.

Procedures

1.TURBT (Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor):

A procedure used to remove bladder tumors through the urethra, often used for diagnosing and treating early-stage bladder cancer.

2.Radical Cystectomy + Ileal Conduit:

A surgical procedure where the bladder is removed, and urine is diverted through a portion of the ileum (part of the small intestine) to an external pouch.

3.Cystoscopy:

A minimally invasive procedure using a cystoscope to examine the inside of the bladder and urethra, often used to diagnose bladder issues or monitor bladder cancer.

4.Radical Cystectomy + Neo Bladder:

A surgery to remove the bladder and reconstruct a new bladder from a portion of the intestine, allowing the patient to urinate normally.

5.BCG Therapy (Bacillus Calmette-Guérin):

A treatment for bladder cancer where a weakened form of tuberculosis bacteria is introduced into the bladder to stimulate the immune system to fight cancer cells.
